BattleBuds was founded by two cousins from Tampa, Florida — fourth-generation Tampa Cubans, both of them. Tammy served twenty-six years in the United States Navy and retired a combat veteran. Jennifer built a successful life and raised her family in the city their people have been part of for four generations. When she went looking for hemp she could put in front of that family, she found an industry that expected her to take its word for it, and decided that was not good enough.

Between them they had what this business needed: one who spent a career somewhere standards are not optional, and one who refused to accept an industry that asks customers to trust it without showing them anything. Neither came from the cannabis business, and that turned out to be the advantage. They built the company they had been looking for and could not find.

What started in the Bunker in Tampa now runs out of a licensed hemp facility in Bushnell. The room got bigger and the paperwork got heavier, but the mission never changed: serve war veterans, their families, and the communities around them with the most carefully sourced hemp flower we can put our name on.

We are a small operation and we intend to stay one for a while. Every lot is bought by people who will answer for it. When you email us, you are emailing the people who chose the flower.

Sourced From Farms We Stand Behind

We work with organic, certified hemp farms whose practices we have personally reviewed. Not a broker’s word, not a spec sheet emailed over — reviewed. Most lots we look at, we pass on.

Every batch arrives with a certificate of analysis from a third-party laboratory, and we publish it. You can read the same document we read before we bought it, under the same cultivar name the lab tested it under. Where the name on the package differs from the name on the certificate, we say so plainly on the product page — you should never have to guess whether a COA belongs to the jar in your hand.

If we would not put it in our own family’s hands, we will not put it in yours. That is not a slogan. It is the reason our catalogue is short.

Nothing Sits Too Long

Flower is not a tin of beans. It is a crop, and it has a best window. Most of what goes wrong with hemp you buy online is not that it was bad when it was grown — it is that it sat somewhere for a year before it reached you.

So we run an inventory clock. Every lot is dated from the day we receive it, and we track that date against the lab collection date on its certificate, which never resets no matter who has held the flower since. Those are two different clocks and we watch both. A passing shelf date does not excuse stale paperwork, and fresh paperwork does not excuse flower that has been sitting.

It is the main reason we buy in small drops rather than filling a warehouse. Less on the shelf means less chance of selling you something that has been waiting.

Everything is sold by the eighth. There are no separate ounce or quarter-pound listings to hunt for, because you should not have to buy four of the same thing to get a better price.

The price per eighth steps down as your cart grows, and it counts every eighth together regardless of strain. Four different strains reaches the quarter rate exactly the same as four of one. Eight gets you the ounce rate. Thirty-two gets you the quarter-pound rate. Build whatever mix you actually want and the discount follows you.

Shipping is $10 flat, and free over $100. Order before 10am Eastern on a weekday and it goes out the same day.

Every customer is age-verified when they create an account, and identity is verified with photo ID before an order ships. Not a checkbox — a real document check. It adds a step, and we keep it anyway.

We sell hemp flower for personal use by adults 21 and over, and only into jurisdictions where it is lawful to receive it. If your state is not on our list, we will not ship there, and no amount of asking will change that. The rules in this industry move quickly, and we would rather lose an order than put a customer or ourselves on the wrong side of them.

The Bunker was where this started: a room, a short list of people who trusted us, and a standard we refused to move. The land is the next version of that. We will show it as it happens rather than promise it in advance.
